  • Cognitive Mechanism of Creative Thinking

    It is known that metaphorical thinking—comparing one concept to another—can lead to the creation of new ideas. We will elucidate the cognitive mechanisms underlying such metaphor-based creativity in humans.

  • Assistance System Using Large Language Models (LLMs)

    Rather than merely employing LLM, we aim to build supportive systems that reflect human thought mechanisms.

  • Relationships between Images and Natural Language

    We can identify specific subjects within abstract images and express them using natural language. We elucidate the cognitive mechanisms underlying this relationship between images and natural language.

  • Examination of the Mechanisms of Humor

    This research focuses on language-based humor (e.g., riddles, puns) and aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying “recognizing humorous expressions as humor,” “understanding humor,” and “generating humorous express.
